Talk to your provider if you've been using this medication for a month and still don't feel any better. Most people start to feel relief of their menopausal symptoms within a few weeks of starting Prempro (conjugated estrogens / medroxyprogesterone). Speak to your provider if you are interested in switching. If you are only taking Prempro (conjugated estrogens / medroxyprogesterone) for vaginal symptoms, there are vaginal creams and rings available that have fewer side effects. Ask your pharmacist if you have any questions about how to take this medication. Always take your tablets in the order shown on the pack.
One version of Prempro (conjugated estrogens / medroxyprogesterone), called Premphase, contains two different types of tablets. For the most consistent results, take this medication at the same time every day. Nausea is a possible side effect, so if this happens to you, try taking your dose with something to eat. You can take Prempro (conjugated estrogens / medroxyprogesterone) with or without food.
